Passionate Ease Retreats offer wonderfully profound life shifts.  We focus on the primitive brain and its integration into the conscious level of the nervous system. Results are achieved through repetitive, non-dualistic and non-competitive methods.   Passionate Ease Retreats use very tender approaches toward limitations and humanness, anchored in our physiology.

 

Being held in loving kindness, a highly resourced field, we’re able to approach disowned and hurt parts of ourselves with tenderness and delicacy.    In this vulnerable state, its essential to feel safe, and for our most human aspects to be included ~ rather than judged.   And, through skillful means, its possible to feel something divine which holds us all, just as we are. 

The Sacred Edge    is created when we stand both challenged and resourced, and met with growing kindness.   More time spent here, deeper the transformation or awakening is achieved.  Spaces where wounds are dominant and have filtered our sense of self, become filled with the

  • To facilitate deep and lasting reorganization of physical and psycho-spiritual anchors to a defended sense of self.  

 

  • To facilitate and anchor deeper embodiment of one's divinity while in direct experience to the beauty of one's humanness.

 

  • To soften the reflexive and unconscious habits of the perfectionist or idealist which habitually battles with one's humanness.

 

  • To deeply and permanently fall in love with one self, just as we are, including a body felt sense.

 

  • To live more completely in soul guided passion and ease offering the necessary resources to make changes calling in your life,  and the world.

 

  • To give a deep experience of your own being while engaging with others with eyes open.  And, gain ability and confidence to continue to do so in all relationships.

 

  • To obtain and deepen a body felt sense, to never leave your self to serve, and discover how more effectively your service is from this place.

 

 

 

The following pieces are each profound in their own right.  However, the combination and sequence in this orientation create a whole thats far greater than the sum of each part.  Its like bringing the ingredients of the cake together.  And, some master bakers take the same ingredients as a less skilled chef and create a masterpiece. Likewise, no description does justice to how these elements come together in a magical alchemy.

1.  mindfulness meditation ~ the  sacred edge, 

 

Lawrence teaches Mindfulness Meditation to establish deeper connection to highly resourced states within.  These connections are reinforced again and again, in ever deepening ways.  A unique form of meditation developed by Shinzen Young features prominently as being an effective method to directly access the primitive brain.  Use of Transcendental Meditation and Art of Living instruction helps create effortlessness throughout. These refined and ancient practices gently and easily establish clarity, focus and equanimity throughout the nervous system.

 

In addition, practices influenced by Neil Steven Cohen adds a key ingredient: We call these practices  Navigation at the Sacred Edge.  First we work with what is familiar and thus somewhat safe, (even if what is familiar has been wreaking havoc), has a felt sense to it and a physicle anchor in your body. Then as we become more present in the familiar, actually having a more complete experience of it, we can find where something new is calling to be felt or sensed that is outside the familiar.  What we put our attention on is what we make sacred.  If the quality of attention is deeply honoring of both part that is in pain and we want to get rid of, but instead hold it with growing tenderness like a hurt child; and we hold the expansion that will dawn just by hanging out here.  We are at a Sacred Edge.

Deep kindness towards our humanness, just as it is. This showing up..including kindness toward the human habit of distraction and resistance, will create the direct experince of unconditional love in the places that have not known this.  Gently, these habits of suffering become sacred edges, or turning points, to re-pattern the deepest sense of separation from our Divine Source. 

 

Then we re image or re imagine what showed up into a more clear anchor to the emerging sense of self without trying to get rid of what was innocently a part of who we were for so long.

 

We tend to live life within habit.  Yet, most evolution occurs at comfort of the familiar’s edge, known resources of the familiar, and unknown resources of the unfamiliar, a most alive place be. Just like falling in love, we awaken to a moment which holds both the familiar and unfamiliar at the same time.

 

Our meditations and Navigtions are designed help the nervous system re-pattern the reflex brain and allow consistent life, aliveness and growth at the sacred edge.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​.

2.  svaroopa inspired yoga

 

The word Svaroopa means “bliss of your own being” and a very special form of yoga. Its used to  complement Mindfulness Meditations and Navigations, and help further integrate awakening and deepen relaxation into the primitive brain.  Experience a deep unwrapping of the spinal system with out the usual effort associated with yoga.  Rather than emphesize stretch, releases are supported through gentle poses accessible to people all ages and conditions.  This yoga is for all backgrounds and no prior yoga experience is necessary.  Yet for the advanced yoga practitioner, this practice becomes a new standard of sweet ease rather than subltle competition with the body's limits.

 3.  network spinal awakening

Network Spinal Awakening (NSA) is used to deepen and anchor the Retreat effects.  It is a non force approach to the anchors to the defended sense of self held in the spinal system.  It includes delicate touch of even the subtle skins of electromagnetic fields surrounding our body where many patterns and filters are held as well as in the physical body.  Lawrence’s rich NSA background and other healing methods allows him to integrate an approach to the spine which deeply honors two of its roles ~ temple to the divine and primary channel of embodiment at the primitive brain level.   NSA is used at a point in the retreat when the group is established in self.  Set up as a community healing event, it results in deeper and farther reaching outcomes, quite different from  an office session.

4.  communal healing

During the network spinal awakening sessions the larger group re-organizes into smaller groups to support each person on the table.  The support consists of incorporating the practices of the weekend to greatly enhance the healing container needed for each individual on the table.  To go farther than they ever have in resetting their automatic reflexes in the nervous system.

5. Part 2

It is an optional single day following the weekend on the day after part 1 is complete.

 

 

Part 2 is why I created Part 1.  

I needed to help the participants become more established in Deep Loving Kindness in an embodied sense to then take that into the places where more time and intimacy is calling.  It is a 9 hour immersion into the archetypes that include our individual life but touch a much larger dimension.  The unwrapping here clears ancestral and patterns that are being passed onto the children.  It is a very personal journey where you are the focus for 30 to 90 minutes and actually through out the day.  The other participants help to play roles if needed to help make the life situations you are trying to integrate the awakening from Part 1 into more completely.

There are only 6 "Love Seats" and there are 6-8 Auditors.  All are from the Part 1 that just ended to keep the space very intimate and safe.
