Without biological solvents, we are dead and with them we live healthier lives. Our lives depend on water so much because life itself cannot exist without being dissolved in a solvent. Water, which dissolves more substances than any other liquid, is considered the universal solvent. Water as a solvent is the medium for all living organisms. All cells contain a minimum of 85% of water, with most fluids inside and outside of the cell likely to have at least 90% water. Both transportation of molecules and chemical reactions take place in dissolved water.

The idea that water is medicine is not new. In chemical terms, the water molecule is strongly dipolar, this property makes water a very effective solvent, particularly for crystalline salts. So, water is the solvent of the body & it regulates all functions, including the activity of everything it dissolves & circulates.
The cost of too little solvent, too little water (dehydration) is profound in terms of the health and harmony of our bodies and emotions because everything is effected, including ATP production, when we let our solvent level (water) get deficient.

When engaged in a transformational process/journey,  the consumption of water is more critical.  Old perceptions carry a neurological and chemical signature that, when upgraded,  throws of old material from the cells.  This coinciding physical transformation/ detox is greatly supported by proper diet/exercise/ and increased consumption of WATER.  It needs to be room temperature or warmer!

There is a health-changing book(s) on how dramatic the practice of drinking more water is for health.

"How Water Cured Incurable Diseases" by Dr.Fereydoon Batmanghelidj

He also authored:  Your Body's Many Cries for Water

Dr. F. Batmanghelidj (Batman-ge-lij), an American citizen, was born in Iran in 1931. He attended school in Scotland and received his medical training at London University St. Marys Hospital Medical School. Upon completion of his studies, he had the privilege of being selected as a house doctor in his own medical school. Dr. Batmanghelidj practiced medicine in England before returning to Iran where he helped develop hospitals, and a family charity teaching medical center.

When the revolution broke out in 1979, Dr. Batmanghelidj, as a member of a prominent family, was thrown in jail and was slated to be shot. While waiting to be "processed" as a political prisoner in Evin prison, he discovered the healing power of water.

One night, Dr. Batmanghelidj had to treat a fellow prisoner with crippling peptic ulcer pain. With no medications at his disposal, Dr. Batmanghelidj gave him two glasses of water. Within eight minutes, his pain disappeared. He was instructed to drink two glasses of water every three hours. He became absolutely pain-free for the four remaining months he was in prison. Without using any medication, he was cured. This discovery of the medicinal property of water at Evin saved the Doctor's life. The authorities now wanted to be associated with his discovery.

In 31 months of his imprisonment, Dr. Batmanghelidj treated over 3,000 peptic ulcer sufferers with water alone. He conducted extensive research into the medicinal effects of water. He discovered water could prevent, relieve and cure many painful, degenerative diseases. Evin prison proved an "ideal stress laboratory," and despite being offered an earlier release, he chose to stay an extra four months in prison to complete his research into the relationship between dehydration and bleeding peptic ulcer disease. The report of his findings was published as the editorial of the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology in June 1983. The New York Times Science section reported this discovery.

Upon his release in 1982, Dr. Batmanghelidj escaped from Iran and came to America. At "Foundation for the Simple in Medicine" he began research of the effect of chronic unintentional dehydration on the human body. His findings were published in their "Journal of Science in Medicine Simplified" in 1991 and 1992.

His research produced a paradigm shift in the basic science of medicine. As the guest lecturer of an international Cancer Conference, he explained that pain and degenerative diseases, including cancers, are produced by dehydration in the human body. His article, "Pain: A Need for Paradigm Change," was published in the "Journal of Anticancer Research" in 1987.

For the first time in medical history, at the 3rd Interscience World Conference on Inflammation in 1989, Dr. Batmanghelidj explained that histamine is a neurotransmitter in charge of water regulation and drought-management programs of the body the medical breakthrough people have been waiting for.

With his radio and TV interviews, Dr. Batmanghelidj is now promoting professional and public awareness of the healing power of water. His book, "Your Body Many Cries for Water," has helped millions of people.

He has written five books in English: "Your Body's Many Cries for Water," which has been translated into many languages, "How to Deal with Back pain & Rheumatoid Joint Pain"; " ABC of Asthma, Allergies, and Lupus"; "Water: for Health, for Healing, for Life" (published by Warner Books) and "Water Cures: Drugs Kill." He as four videotapes, "Cure Pain & Prevent Cancer"; "Dehydration & Cancer"; "Health Miracles in Water & Salt" and "How to Deal with Back Pain.". His most recent article, "Waiting to get Thirsty is to Die Prematurely and Painfully" is published in the Townsend Letters for Doctors and Patients in January, 2003.

It is a rule of thumb that normal average activity lifestyles require a daily dose of an ounce of water per pound of body weight.  For high physical and for rapid inner transformation processes, that amount at least increases to another .5 to 1 ounce per pound of body weight.

Please seriously consider incorporating more water into your daily diet (away from meals so as not to dilute digestive juices- however, a half glass of water 15 -20 min before a meal helps the body create more hydrochloric acid.

HOT WATER

It is important to mention that the benefits of hot water, ( maybe with some lemon added) has profoundly more health benefits than room temperature.

When I traveled in India with my Ayurvedic Doctor K.Raju, I observed him treating every imaginable disease first and foremost with consuming hot water as his primary prescription.  Dr Raju comes from a 1000+ year lineage of Ayurvedic physicians.  He a master of plant pharmacology and more.  He even communicates with plants to match them with the patient.  Yet, he most often opts to recommend hot water consumed several times a day before prescribing anything else.
